10. Baoneng Shenyang Global Financial Center (Shenyang, China - 568 m)

This skyscraper is also known as the Pearl of the North. This building is located in Shenyang city, China and has been completed in 2019. This skyscraper has 111 floors with a height of up to 568 meters and stands on an area of 59 hectares. Typical characters are shown by displaying round insets at the top of the building. The architectural design was designed by Atkins. Located in "Golden Corridor" in the central business district of the city.

9. Goldin Finance 117 (Tianjin, China - 597 m)

Goldin Finance 117, also known as China 117 Tower is a skyscraper located in Tianjin city, China. The tower is estimated to have a height of 597 m (1,959 ft) with 117 floors. Construction began in 2008, and had experienced several suspension challenges but was finally completed in 2018. At present the building is the fifth tallest building in China after the Ping An Finance Center, surpassing the Shanghai World Financial Center.

8. Ping An Finance Centre (Shenzhen, China - 599 m)

Ping An Finance Center also known as PAFC (Ping An International Finance Center) is a 115-story megatall skyscraper with an altitude of 599 meters (1965 feet) located in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. PAFC is located in the Futian District of the city and represents a new generation of Asian skyscrapers: very high, very dense, and very connected. The tower was built in 2010 until it was completed and began operating in 2017.

7. Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel (Mecca, Saudi Arabia - 601 m)

This building is located in Mecca city, Saudi Arabia. The building, which stands in the middle of the Abraj Al-Bait Endowment complex, was built in 2002 until completion in 2012. The Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel brings a feel of modernization in the historic city center of Mecca, and is located adjacent to the Grand Mosque. The tower was developed as a component of the King Abdulaziz Waqf Project and provides comfortable accommodation for Muslims who travel to the city every year during the Hajj period. This hotel can accommodate up to 2 million worshipers during the event.

6. Shanghai Tower (Shanghai, China - 632 m)

Shanghai city, China is one of the fastest growing cities in the world in terms of building skyscrapers. Shanghai Tower / Shanghai Center Building (Shanghai Tower) is one of the tallest skyscrapers in Shanghai that has an altitude of 632 meters (2,073 feet), 128 floors located in Lujiazui, Pudong, Shanghai. This building also has the second fastest elevator in the world with a maximum speed of 20.5 meters per second (74 km / h or 46 mph). However, the title of the fastest elevator in the world now belongs to the Guangzhou CTF Financial Center, with a top speed of 21 meters per second (76 km / h or 47 mph) reached in 2017.

5. Wuhan Greenland Center (Wuhan, China - 636 m)

Located on the edge of Yangtze River, the Wuhan Greenland Center symbolizes the power of economic growth in Wuhan. The city is the most populous city in central China and a major player in the country's economy because of its status as a multi-capital transportation center. Like many towers that try to exceed the 600 meter threshold, wind and seismic considerations are very important in the design process. To overcome this problem, the tower uses a triangular floor plan with a design that narrows along its height to provide extra stability that protects against strong winds and seismic events. This building was built since 2012, and is expected to be completed in 2019. The building has a height of 636 m (2087 feet), 126 floors above ground and 6 floors underground.

4. Signature Tower (Jakarta, Indonesia - 638 m)

Signature Tower is one of the buildings in the category of Megatall (> 600m) owned by Indonesia. This building is planned to begin construction in 2019 and is expected to be completed in 2025. This skyscraper is part of a 50-hectare development project near Semanggi Junction and just south of the Bung Karno Stadium. Located in the golden triangle area in Jakarta where most of the main development areas are located. The Signature Tower is estimated to have an altitude of 638 m (2093 feet), 113 floors above ground, and 6 floors below ground.

3. Suzhou Zhongnan Center (Suzhou, China - 729 m)

Suzhou Zhongnan Center is a megatall skyscraper located in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. This building has a height of 729 meters (2,391.7 feet), 137 floors above ground and 5 floors underground. It was built in 2014 and is expected to be completed by 2020. Suzhou Zhongnan Center is positioned as the tallest building in China, and the third highest in the world when it is completed in 2020. Located in the Suzhou Central Business District, at the west of Jinji lake, this tower will dominate the skyline of Suzhou city. This building is part of a large-city development project, Suzhou Industrial Park, and the estimated construction costs reached 28.5 billion yuan (US $ 4.46 billion).

2. Burj Khalifa (Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 828 m)

Burj Khalifa also known as the Burj Dubai, is the second highest megatall building in the world. Previously, it was held as the number 1 highest building in the world, but now it has shifted with the presence of Kingdom Tower in Saudi Arabia. This building was built in 2004 and completed in 2010. The building's height reaches 828 m (2712 feet) or nearly equal to 3 times the height of the eiffel tower, and has a total of 163 floors above ground, and 1 floor below ground. The building also has a high speed elevator with speeds up to 16.7 m / s (equivalent to 60 km / hr).

1. Kingdom Tower (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia - 1 km)

Kingdom Tower also known as the Jeddah Tower and Mile-High Tower, is a skyscraper that is being built on the north side of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The initial construction began in 2013 and is expected to be completed by 2021. It is planned to be the first 1 km (3,281 ft) building in the world, with floors up to 168 floors above ground and 2 floors underground. This building will be the center and the first phase of development and tourist attraction known as the Economic City of Jeddah (Jeddah Economic City). Thus this building officially bears the title as the number 1 tallest building in the world.
